A New Chapter Begins for TSTN

In 2019, we decided to expand the scope of Tax Stamp News™ (as it was called back then) into the traceability realm, in order to reflect the fact that national tax stamp programmes were becoming increasingly integrated into production monitoring and track and trace systems.

And so it was that Tax Stamp & Traceability News™ (TSTN) was born.

We are now happy to announce that from October 2025, TSTN will undergo another transformation, by merging with its sister publication Authentication & Brand News™ into a single, 12-page newsletter, under the name of: Tax Stamp & Authentication News™ supported by the website taxstampauthenticationnews.com.

This decision reflects the reality of today’s markets and technologies, where tax stamp and traceability systems are extending beyond excisable goods to a wider range of products. In parallel, these systems are embracing additional functions relating to product authentication and supply chain visibility, which takes them well beyond their original tax collection role.

Similarly, brand owners are increasingly seeking smart solutions that combine authentication, traceability, and consumer engagement, and that also enable them to comply with government regulations such as the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products.

Bringing these developments together under one publication will give you a more comprehensive, streamlined source of news and analysis, without duplication. It will also ensure that you continue to receive the authoritative coverage you rely on, while keeping pace with the convergence of technologies and policies in our sector.

As a subscriber, you will automatically receive Tax Stamp & Authentication News from October. For those of you about to renew your subscription, we will be in touch shortly with the renewal terms. However, you can already view the different offers and prices at https://reconnaissance.net/tsan-subscribe/.

We are confident this evolution will provide you with greater value, and look forward to continuing to serve you in this expanded format.

Thank you for your continued support. The Editorial Team
